Switching From TrainingPeaks to Vekta

Switching From TrainingPeaks to Vekta

For many coaches and athletes, the biggest hesitation about leaving TrainingPeaks is the fear of losing what has taken years to build. History, notes, templates, comments, your library, the way athletes move through their training. Rebuilding that from scratch is simply not an option.

Vekta is set up to make this transition far easier than most expect. While there’s no direct integration between TrainingPeaks and Vekta, we provide clear export paths, dedicated import tools and hands-on support so you can bring your key assets with you. The aim is simple: everything that matters comes across, and nothing important gets left behind.

Vekta app

Up to Five Years of Data Imported Automatically

When athletes joins Vekta and connect their devices inside the Vekta app, the system automatically pulls in their historical training and wellness data from platforms such as Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Whoop and Oura. In many cases, this gives you immediate visibility of up to five years of history without needing to handle exports or files manually. This automatic import means you begin coaching or using Vekta with a meaningful picture rather than starting from zero.

Adding Additional Historical Data

If you want to bring across more than what device history provides, or if you’re dealing with a large archive stored in TrainingPeaks, Vekta gives you a straightforward path to move that history into your workspace without uploading everything manually.

1. Log in to your TrainingPeaks account at trainingpeaks.com.
2. Go to your Account Settings.
3. Select "Export Data" from the menu.
4. Under Workout Files, choose the date range you’d like to export (e.g., one year).
5. Click Export to generate a ZIP folder with your workout files.

Once exported, you can send the files to support@joinvekta.com. Our team will process the data for you so your sessions and long term trends appear correctly inside your Vekta workspace.

Workout Summaries and Metrics

Your session files only tell part of the story. To make sure that context comes with you, Vekta supports the import of the qualitative information that sits around your training history, including session titles, descriptions, RPE, feeling scores, comments, body weight history and selected custom metrics. You can export this data from TrainingPeaks and our team will bring it into your Vekta workspace so the detail behind your planning is preserved alongside the files themselves.

How to Export Summary & Custom Data

1. Log in to trainingpeaks.com.
2. Open your Account Settings.
3. Select "Export Data".
4. Under Workout Summary and/or Custom Metrics, choose your desired date range.
5. Click Export to generate a ZIP folder.

Once exported, you can send those files to support@joinvekta.com. We import them directly into your Vekta account so you retain the context that shapes your planning and analysis. This preserves both the numbers and the narrative behind them.

Vekta Platform

Bringing Your Workout Library Into Vekta

Your workout library is central to how you coach. While Vekta’s session creation tools make it simple to rebuild workouts, recreating a large library takes time. To save you that effort, we offer a guided import process that brings your full TrainingPeaks library into Vekta in minutes.

We’ve developed a streamlined import tool that lets you bring your custom TrainingPeaks sessions into Vekta in minutes. During a short call, our team walks you through exporting your library and helps you import it using the tool, making sure everything transfers correctly. The structure, naming and descriptions that underpin your system are preserved, so your familiar templates are ready to use from day one.

Vekta App

Supporting Your Athletes Through the Switch

A platform transition affects athletes just as much as coaches, which is why Vekta provides support to make adoption smooth and consistent.

After joining Vekta, athletes connect their devices and immediately see their training within the platform. Their Critical Power, W Prime, Peak Power values and training zones are calculated automatically. Recent sessions sync, and future planned work appears on their calendar in the same familiar way they are used to.

Athlete onboarding webinar

We also offer an athlete onboarding webinar that gives athletes a clear understanding of how their training works inside Vekta. In a single session, they see how their plan is delivered, how their sessions appear, where their history sits and how the key metrics they’ll work with are calculated. It shows them what’s new, what’s familiar and how to get the best out of the platform from day one.

For coaches, it removes the need to walk every athlete through the basics individually and ensures the whole squad starts with the same level of understanding and confidence.
