To succeed at a race like Migration Gravel Race, a rider must develop extreme fatigue resistance, stamina, and strength on the bike. This plan provides structured, progressive workouts targeting the key areas of physiology required for success at Migration Gravel Race and other endurance stage races. Meet Your Coach

Owen Searle is Head of Performance at Team AMANI, where he leads the coaching and performance development of athletes competing at the highest levels of African and international cycling.

He studied Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University and is currently in medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. Owen has six years of coaching experience and is in his fourth season with Team AMANI, supporting riders across road and gravel racing.

Owen also brings first-hand experience of Migration Gravel Race, finishing 3rd in the amateur category in 2025. His athletes have achieved numerous results across international racing, including 4th overall at the Tour du Rwanda in February 2026, podiums at the African Continental Championships, and multiple national championship titles in road race and time trial disciplines.
